49ersHub Picks: Who Do We Think the 49ers Will Draft?

Image Credit: Andrew Giesemann

The NFL Draft is finally here! This week the 49ersHub staff is back to give their predictions for how the 2019 NFL Draft will go. Who do we have? Read on and find out!

Zach Pratt (@Mezachp)

'Twas the morning Draftmas, when all through Nashville All the prospects were stirring, including Q Will; The draft hats were hung backstage on a wall, In hopes that St. Goodell soon would their name call;

The scouts for the Raiders nestled all snug in their beds, While nightmares of Chucky danced in their heads; And Shanny in his 'kerchief, and Lynch in his cap, Had just settled down for a long April's draft,

When out on the stage there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the couch to see what was the matter. Away to backstage the cameras flew in a hurry, The Cardinals had just selected one Kyler Murray.

The bird on the creast of the newly worn cap Made Rosen exclaim "what's up with this crap!?" When, before Josh's stans can quickly revolt, Anthony Lynn with a trade, and Rosen's a Bolt,

Next, a card rushed up front, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick. More rapid than eagles his coursers Roger came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called him by name;

"Now, the Niners with the second overall pick! Select the one and only Bosa named Nick!" To the top of my spirits, the Hub writers did call! "Sacks for Dee! Sacks for Nick! Sacks for them all!"

As dry heaves were heard from NFC West foes, When they see the new line of the 49er bros, So up to the war room the GMs they flew, With a draft full of options, except for these two.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof The prancing and pawing of Josh Allen's hoof. As I drew closer to watch, and Goodell turned around, The sack artist is called to the stage with a bound.

Now Mayock is wondering, with Gruden along, If any prospects were caught with a gas mask and a bong; To their delight, Quinnen Williams had no such chatter, And he is drafted at four, making Vegas hearts patter.

White's eyes -- how they twinkled! Devin's dimples how merry! His draft hat is creamsicle, with a side touch of berry! With Gettleman aboard, hoping to avoid a disaster Dwayne Haskins is now pupil, with Eli the master;

The tight ends from Iowa await to be called, The next choice is Hock, while he shouts "DUUUVALLLL!" Noah Fant looked on with a little round belly, From the cheese curds he'll consume at a Wisconsin deli.

Two tackles are there, Dillard and Taylor for choosing, When Andre is called first! How very amusing! A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Goodell calls Hollywood, "To Tennessee!" he said.

A run on receivers did Marquise Brown begin, N'Keal Harry to Baltimore, he's a Raven, Next on the draft board is a Butler named Hakeem, Drafted by Seattle, he fulfills his life's dream

Finally is Coach Bill with the Patriots' pick, 32nd overall, Tillery is slick. With that Roger exclaimed, being booed out of sight, HAPPY DRAFTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!

I’m just going to say it, I want Nick Bosa. Social media stuff aside, the guy can flat out rush the passer and that’s what this team needs. After Kyler Murray goes first overall to the Cardinals I think John Lynch and company will field a few calls for the number two pick, and will eventually turn them all down and select Bosa in that spot. As for remaining 30 picks I’m not to interested, except for where Florida State project and my draft crush Brian Burns ends up, hopefully somewhere in the AFC. My honest guess is no more then 2 trades in the first round involving Oakland, Seattle, Cleveland and Jacksonville (for a quarterback). I think the Giants don’t take a quarterback and Dave Gettlemen regrets that choice Week 1. Of the 32 picks I think 25 are on defense with only two receivers being selected. My final bold prediction: in three years we look back on this draft and Burns is the second best edge player to come out.

At pick number two

The Niners go with Bosa-

Russell Wilson shakes.

The 2019 NFL draft has finally arrived after the long wait

The 2nd overall selection by the 49ers is sure to be great

Whether Nick Bosa from Ohio State or Quinnen Williams from Alabama

They will surely end up with one exceptionally bad mamma jamma

But what if Jon Gruden and the Raiders come calling

Then the 49ers draft position may be falling

It’s no matter as they will rack up more assets in the draft

And an excellent young squad Lynch will continue to craft

Make sure to stay tuned and not to blink

Because things may not turn out quite as you think

PREDICTION: Bosa/Williams/Picks

Bret Rumbeck (@brumbeck)

There are few certainties in life except birth, taxes, and death. As much as I would like the 49ers to drop down a few spots and pick up a new guard, the 49ers will take Nick Bosa with the second selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.

I cannot tell you who else 49ers will draft tomorrow because guessing pick 104 and claiming it's an absolute truth is insulting to Hub readers. I do expect the team to land a new cornerback, guard, receiver and inside linebacker.

Audentes Fortuna Juvat is Latin for “Fortune Favors the Bold,” so with that in mind it is time to make some bold predictions for the first round of the NFL draft. The Arizona Cardinals will not take Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray with the first pick. Cincinnati and Washington will trade up in the first round to select quarterbacks. Ole Miss wide receiver D.K. Metcalf will fall out of round one. LSU cornerback Greedy Williams will not be the first cornerback taken. This draft is heavy on defensive talent and as a result more offensive players than expected go in round one as teams rush to get “their guy.” Even though this quarterback class is considered weak compared to last year’s, four quarterbacks will go in round one. And the least bold prediction of all the 49ers will take Nick Bosa with the second overall pick.

So people were pissed the 49ers won against Seattle last season. Called it a wasted win in a lost season. They said it would have been better had the 49ers lost so we could secure the number one overall pick. They said we set our franchise backwards with that win. Well you know what screw those fake fans and one beat writer because not only did we get the Seachickens monkey off our back by finally beating them, but we still get Nick Bosa in tonight's draft. One finger salute to all the haters out there.

Matthew Barr (@MattBarr_)

As I said in the 4th and Gold podcast, I would love for the 49ers to trade back with the Raiders and stockpile picks. So naturally, that won’t happen. I think it’s a two horse race for the number 2 pick. Nick Bosa or Quinnen Williams. The team can’t go wrong with either. In the end, I think they choose need. Bosa is the guy.

Max Carlson (@PointSpreadMax)

John Lynch is in a great position sitting at #2 in this class. If he stays put, he cannot mess this up. He will be able to select whoever is left between Nick Bosa and Quinnen Williams, or he may even have his choice between the two. I prefer Bosa, but Big Q wouldn't be a bad thing, at all. I know alot of the fan base wants to trade down and load up on picks, but I really hope (and think they will) stand pat and add a blue chip prospect to the defensive line.

PREDICTION: Nick Bosa/Quinnen Williams
