Victory in a Land Called Fantasy: Fantasy Players to Know and Watch for Championship Weekend

Championship Sunday has both number one seeds facing off against both number two seeds and it should be a beauty. As always, I hope you won some money last week and are looking to win some more this Sunday, but what lineups should you go with?

The Quarterback

I’m going with Patrick Mahomes; he was the number one quarterback on the season. When the Chiefs played the Patriots back in Week 6, Mahomes threw for over 350 yards and he came away with four touchdowns. Oh, and that game was in Kansas City, and this game is also in Kansas City. The other three quarterbacks playing this week have not been putting up a ton of points, so give me what looks to be the sure bet.

The Running Backs

If you play two running backs, then my choices would be Damien Williams and Sony Michel. Last time these two played they both put up over 40 points. If you want a trip to Atlanta in two weeks, more than likely you may have to put up 40 points. It will be cold in Kansas City so expect a lot from the running game and short-yardage situations.

The Wide Receivers

I’m going to move over to the other game for the air attack and pick up Michael Thomas and Brandin Cooks. Drew Brees loves Michael Thomas and the last time these two played Thomas had 211 yards and a score - remember the Joe Horn tribute? I don’t expect him to go over 200 yards again, but I am expecting a huge game.

On the other side Brandin Cooks was a huge beneficiary in their first matchup that saw both teams combine for 80 points and we are once again in a dome on Sunday with no weather to worry about. Cooks 100 yard plus game and a score is easily repeatable as these two teams face off again.

The Tight End

It must be Travis Kelce. Gronk is not the same player he once was and talks of him retiring are looming once again. The Rams and Saints do not target their tight ends the same way the Chiefs do and if the cold weather starts to affect the passing game, Mahomes will need that security blanket.

Good luck and win some money this Sunday
