Victory in a Land Called Fantasy: Who to Start, Who to Sit From 49ers Week 14 Fantasy Football

Hopefully you are in the middle of the fantasy playoffs. If you are not there is always next season. But for those that made it, making sure you have the best lineup is crucial. One wrong move and you could be out of the playoffs and looking to next season like the other losers…..just kidding. Not really, though.
But in all seriousness, I am sure there are some players who lost this past week because Jared Goff was their quarterback. He received negative points in fantasy this week. Making sure you have the right players could be the difference between playing next week and looking towards next season.
Nick Mullens has played well since taking over for C.J. Beathard. He has put together some QB1 weeks including the game against the Seahawks, in which he was 30-of-48 for 414 yards and a touchdown. His opponent this Sunday: the Seahawks. I think if you are in a desperate need of a quarterback or in a two-quarterback league or superflex you can lean on Mullens this week. START: Nick Mullens
The Wide Receivers
I am convinced Dante Pettis is a worthy flex start, with upside, in fantasy. Chances are he was never drafted so it’s not like you would be playing him as your number-one or even your number-two, but he has upside. It was important to see him with Goodwin this past Sunday to see if the targets were still there. In fact, Pettis should have had an even better game, but he dropped a pass when he was wide open with some room to run. I would not trust Goodwin not even in a flex spot, I would play Pettis over Goodwin. Goodwin has only had a couple good games in an underwhelming season. START: Dante Pettis, SIT: Marquise Goodwin
The Running Backs
I would start whoever the 49ers’ starter is, but at the time of this writing we are still uncertain who that will be. But the Mad Scientist, Kyle Shanahan, has the ability to make any starting running back on his team fantasy-relevant. He did it last season with Carlos Hyde even though he didn’t fit the build for his type of running back. He has done with Matt Breida, Jeff Wilson Jr, and Raheem Mostert. People were even considering starting Kyle Juszczyk earlier in the season, because of the Mad Scientist. START: The Starter
Oh yeah, you start George Kittle. I would embed a tweet from twitter that I commented on, but the original tweet had words not appropriate for a family show. But the original tweet basically said I have George Kittle on my bench with some naughty words. My reply was: Let this be a lesson to everyone, you never bench George Kittle. START: George Kittle, ALWAYS
