Reuben Foster Pleads No Contest to Weapons Charges

Earlier this morning, Reuben Foster's attorney issued a plea of No Contest for the weapons charges against him.

Reuben Foster’s legal troubles are now behind him. For both Foster and the 49ers organization it has been a long 5 months stemming from Foster’s first arrest on January 13th for a second-degree misdemeanor charge for possession of marijuana in Alabama.

Things proceeded to get worse following his arrest a month later under suspicion of domestic violence abuse against his then girlfriend Elissa Ennis, and possession of an assault weapon.

Following the preliminary hearing held on May 17th, Judge Nona Klippen dropped the domestic violence charges against Foster and reduced his felony assault weapon charge to a misdemeanor on May 23rd. I wrote a full writeup on the Foster timeline, which you can read here.

Foster had his misdemeanor possession charges dropped on May 25th and now after a plea of no contest his assault weapons charge is at an end.

Even though his legal troubles are at an end, he may not be completely out of the woods yet, it is more than likely he will still face some sort of suspension from the NFL, only time will tell.
