Before anyone could pour a hot cup of coffee, news broke this morning that the Cleveland Browns are expected to sign 49ers running back Carlos Hyde to a three-year deal worth more than $15 million.
The new contract was first reported by the NFL Network and later confirmed by ESPN.
In four years with the 49ers, Hyde amassed 2,729 rush yards, 24 career touchdowns and averaged 4.2 yards per rush attempt. He nearly broke 1,000 yards rushing in the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
Hyde grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Ohio State. The 49ers selected Hyde in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
We here at 49ersHUB wish all the best to Carlos Hyde and thank him for his time with the team!
