The 49ersHub is continuing the tradition of "Player of the Week," with the honor going to LB Reuben Foster this week. It was QB C.J. Beathard and then S Eric Reid who won the award, but it's the rookie linebacker that takes the prize for his amazing performance against the Vikings.
Coming out of the gate, Foster took out RB Dalvin Cook in the flat on the first play of the game. It was quite reminiscent of what we saw at Alabama from No. 56.
He finished the game, tallying up eight tackles against the Vikings. He had two massive hits in the first quarter and also bulldozed T Alex Boone -- a former 49er -- on another play.
We hope to see Foster winning this award more often, as he's starting to develop into the 49ers' best defensive player. Looking forward to more of this from Foster!
