The 49ers aren't satisfied with the depth of their front seven on defense and could be adding to it pretty soon. Per NFL Network's Ian Rapaport, San Francisco is working out ex-Falcons' DE Tyson Jackson.
Jackson, 31, is a eight-year veteran, who's split time in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons. He was the former third overall pick by the Chiefs in 2009.
In his first five seasons with the Chiefs, Jackson had at least 30 tackles every year. He also produced nine sacks during his five-year tenure in Kansas City.
With Atlanta, Jackson added 66 tackles in three seasons. This past season, he only played in seven games, after playing in at least 15 games the past five seasons.
At 31, I'm not sure what the ex-LSU star still has left in the tank, but he could be same depth for the 49ers during the last few weeks of preseason.
