49ers' Reuben Foster will be a "full go" in training camp

With the San Francisco 49ers holding their first practice of the 2017 season tomorrow, all eyes are on the team’s two first round draft picks Solomon Thomas and Reuben Foster.

While Thomas remains unsigned, the 49ers held Foster out of all contact drills during spring team activities and minicamp.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan commented on Foster’s status during today’s press conference.

“He (Foster) is cleared to go, and we’re excited to get him out there,” said Shanahan.

Later in the press conference, a reporter asked if Foster would participate in pad drills with everyone else. Shanahan responded succinctly: “Yes.”

“As far as on the board, he’s (Foster) been extremely impressive,” said Shanahan.

General manager John Lynch confirmed Foster’s readiness for the season.

“He’s chomping at the bit. We almost had to have a leash on him to keep him out of drills,” said Lynch. “There’s so much to like about him. He’s got an excitement that’s infectious.”

“He’s fully cleared with no limitations,” said Lynch a few minutes later.

Shanahan also commented that the 49ers do not have any player on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list to start training camp.
