Welcome to the 2017-18 season, Faithful
Dear 49ers' Faithful,
It's been a little over six months since the 49ers last took the field. In that game, Trent Baalke was the General Manager, Chip Kelly was the Head Coach and Colin Kaepernick was the Quarterback. All three of those individuals are no longer with the franchise.
Since then, Owner Jed York has hired first-time GM John Lynch straight out of the Press Box and plucked ex-Atlanta OC Kyle Shanahan to be his head coach.
The 49ers had a strong free agency, signing veterans in different areas of need to front-loaded contracts in the next two years. The front office had a dominant draft -- especially with the trade back to grab LB Reuben Foster.
There's a new sense of belief in the Bay Area that the 49ers' organization can really turn it around. They've got competent executives, coaches and young players that are ready to take the next step. They may not win many games this year, but there's some confidence that they'll be able to take it further than Jim Tomsula and Chip Kelly.
As the 49ers look toward exciting times in the future, the 49ersHub is as well. We're launching our new, re-designed website -- at the49ershub.com. We're going to continue to be more active on all our social media channels (Twitter: @49ersHub, Instagram: @49ersHub). We've added exciting new writers to the fold to deliver fresh, innovative content on a weekly basis for 49ers fans. The #49Problems podcast is nearing 50 episodes and we've got exciting new guests and plans on the way.
A day before Training Camp opens for the San Francisco 49ers, the 49ersHub team wants to welcome you to join the ride for the 2017-18 season, as we look forward to sharing our knowledge and love for our team.
We always welcome your feedback and support. Like our slogan reads, it's for the fans, by the fans.
