More workouts are scheduled for the San Francisco 49ers, who are now bringing in pass rusher Elvis Dumervil.
According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, Dumervil is supposed to work out with the 49ers in the next couple of days.
Dumervil, 33, was a former draft pick of the Denver Broncos. He spent six seasons with the Broncos and then four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
For his career, he has 99 sacks and 255 tackles, to go along with 23 forced fumbles. He would be a veteran pass rusher that would fit in at the LEO position for the 49ers. He was dominant in 2009 and 2014 with 17.0 sacks in each of those seasons.
He's been less effective these past few seasons, with only nine sacks total. With age and a lot of players in Baltimore, he was released by the Ravens.
Still left unsigned and waiting for a role, Dumervil could be a solid fit with the 49ers for their LEO position or even part time at the SAM. Let's see if the workout leads to a contract with San Francisco.
