The 49ers are making moves early in OTAs, as they have signed CB Will Davis and released WR Rashad Ross.
Ross has bounced around different teams, from the Tennessee Titans to the Kansas City Chiefs to the Washington Redskins to the Chicago Bears to the Detroit Lions.
He was signed to a reserve/future contract with the 49ers back in January. He has caught 9 passes for 192 yards in his career. He's been more of a returner, with 812 yards during the span of his career.
The 49ers also signed Will Davis, who was originally drafted by the Dolphins in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He was subsequently traded to the Ravens in 2015 and missed the rest of the season with a torn ACL.
He was released by the Ravens last season and now found a home with the 49ers. He's a 27 year old, 5-foot-11 corner, who's likely to see some action in camp and will compete for a spot on the 49ers' roster.
Davis has racked up 26 tackles and 1 interception during his career.
The 49ers continue to make moves in the offseason, now adding Will Davis and waiving Rashad Ross. Stay with the 49ers Hub for more coverage and let us know what you think of these moves.
