49ers trade for Pro Bowl C Jeremy Zuttah

March 15, 2017

The San Francisco 49ers will trade for C Jeremy Zuttah with the Baltimore Ravens.

49ers get:

C Jeremy Zuttah

Baltimore's 6th round pick

Ravens get:

San Francisco's 6th round pick

Zuttah, 30, was a Pro Bowler this past season with the Baltimore Ravens. He played in all 16 games and according to PFF, was their 6th best offensive player. He's been a consistent force along the OL for the Ravens for the past three years.

Here's how the trade for Zuttah went down:

It was reported earlier this morning by Pro Football Talk that Ravens' Pro Bowl C Jeremy Zuttah was being released.

Immediately, newly-signed FB Kyle Juszczyk took to twitter to let everyone know that he'd love to have Zuttah on his team.

I guess his wish came true, as the 49ers announced that a trade was made for Jeremy Zuttah. The 49ers and John Lynch then deal for Zuttah to shore up the OL.

It probably means that Kilgore, who manages to never stay healthy, will probably either move to guard or move to a backup role.

All in all, it's a solid trade that solidifies the center position for the 49ers.
