The 49ers didn't have a void at the kicker position for long, as according to Alex Flanagan, the 49ers will sign K Robbie Gould.
K Phil Dawson spent the past few seasons with the 49ers, but will now head for Arizona. John Lynch didn't wait long as he fills the position with Gould.
Gould is a veteran of 12 seasons in the NFL, and has shared time with two teams. He was a Chicago Bear for 11 of those seasons and spent the past season with the New York Giants.
He features a career kicking percentage of 85.9 and will be just as good -- if not better -- than Dawson.
This may be an under the radar signing, but he fills an important position and an immediate need of the 49ers.
