According to a report earlier this morning from Vaughn McClure, free-agent TE Jacob Tamme could land with the San Francisco 49ers if he chooses to leave the Atlanta Falcons.
Heading into his 10th season, the 31-year old free agent could be a good veteran signing for the San Francisco 49ers. He's spent the past two seasons with Atlanta Falcons, under Kyle Shanahan's offensive tutelage, and caught 81 passes on 113 targets for 867 yards.
He's a reliable target for any quarterback on 3rd down, as he has 44 receiving first downs in the past two seasons. He's also only fumbled once in his career, which is remarkable.
Tamme is not the second-coming of Gronkowski by any means, but he'll be dependable and help the younger TEs on the roster improve their respective games.
